April 12th has arrived and shoppers have shown their support to their local highstreet by standing in long queues just to get a taste of what was once, very normal.
Primark was at the top of many people's lists of places to go as soon as restrictions ease, and it seems they haven't disappointed.
One shopper, Sarah Long was keen to stock up on supplies after almost 5 months of being unable to shop until she dropped.
She said: "They always do the most variety of clothes in Primark and I was worried they might not have as much because of the lockdowns but they've done really well I think."
Although Long was able to get her shopping fix in, she is still concerned about how much longer the high street has left.
She said: "I am so glad the shops are back open because I was worried that most places would close down because of the coronavirus."
Long said: "The high street was already looking sad before the pandemic so I really hope shops survive."
