UWD Day 2

Taking a break from University life and journalism, another day at Universal Web Design was on the agenda for March 13th.

The absence level was quite high due to people taking the sensible decision to self-isolate due to COVID-19, this added pressure on those present in the office as work still needed to be done!

I spent the morning adding some final touches to completed work, ensuring it was up to scratch before reaching the client for approval.

In order for a Facebook, LinkedIn or Instagram advertisement to be uploaded in the highest quality possible, the size of the picture had to be 1080x1080. In some cases, this proved quite the challenge as some pictures didn’t have much flexibility in terms of editing.

As a result, I had to search the internet for ‘royalty free’ images which depicted the message the advertisement was conveying and ensure it was the right size. I also had to add hashtags to most of the post to optimise coverage and engagement.

I was introduced to the programmes and systems that UWD use which was great to see how it all works behind the scenes.

After multiple cups of tea and pulling some of my hair out, I managed to get all posts looking pretty and perfect by lunch time!
