North Walsham's Easter Egg Hunt Success

Easter Saturday North Walsham saw hundreds of families and youngsters participating in their annual charity Easter Egg hunt courtesy of North Walsham Play.

This Easter event was held in the town's memorial park which involved 350 children, a 23-egg trail, face painting, balloon modelling, and a special meet-and-greet with the one and only Easter Bunny.

This event organised by the community, raised £1589.42.

"All proceeds from the egg hunt will be put toward our next project – an outside gymnasium to be located on the Memorial Park."

Matthew Smith, founder of the community charity, thanked everyone for their donations and participation.

Smith continued in thanking other organisations involved in the success of the day, particularly North Walsham's Costa Coffee, Sainsbury's, The Atrium Cinema and Starboard for their donations towards the event.

Those who attended stated how it was the perfect weather for the Easter egg hunt.

Matthew himself stated: "The amazing weather is a perfect background for another very successful egg hunt, supported by so many people from within the local community."

Speaking with Barry Hester, informing us that North Walsham Play are known for their charitable events with this particular event getting ''better and better''.

"The work that North Walsham Play and its committee does continues to amaze me."

It is clear that the work North Walsham Party do has a positive impact not only just on the community physically, but collectively.

We hope that the Easter bunny makes an appearance next year!
