Raising charity cash with fashion and fizz

A fun-packed evening of “fashion and fizz” held at The Queen’s Head in Bramfield, Friday 26thApril has been commended after raising nearly £800 for the Pear Tree Fund.


Local independent retailers attended with stalls and supported by donating a percentage of their profits to the charity.


This fashion show was the first of many upcoming events planned by the pub, in order to raise money for their chosen charity.


Profits from their “Frangipane and pear tart” pudding menu will also be donated to the charity, along with a music quiz, book sale and family quiz yet to take place.


Kate Wood, pub owner stated: “We were delighted with the support we received for the evening.”

“It was a fun opportunity to raise money for this fantastic, hard-working local charity.”


Pear Tree Fund trustee, Ted Edwards, said: “We are incredibly grateful for the fantastic support we received from our local community.”


The Queen’s Head’s next big event is a “Big charity music quiz” which taking place on Sunday 26th May from 7pm.
