A service of remembrance will be held in aid of families who have suffered the loss of a child.
Led by Colchester Hospital Chaplain, it is taking place at 7.30pm, May 14th, at St. James Parish Church, Beatrice road, Clacton.
The service includes hymns, prayers, music and an optional candle lit service.
The service is open to anyone who has suffered or been affected by a loss; “whether that loss was recent or many years – or even decades ago.”
Afterwards, families are invited to speak with others in similar circumstances, along with East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, chaplaincy and maternity departments.
Allison Cline-Dean, Lead Chaplain, stated: “The service is for all who have lost a child as a result of a miscarriage, stillbirth or shortly after the birth of the baby.”
“Families can join together so their baby can be remembered and we can support each other in the journey of loss.”
More details can be obtained by contacting the Chaplaincy team at Colchester Hospital on 01206 742014.
