In an attempt to broaden my horizons, I stepped into unfamiliar territory this week. Universal Web Design, a marketing, sales and web design company in Colchester kindly offered me work experience placement.

Marketing has always been an interest of mine and a potential career prospect, particularly email and social media marketing.
26th of February saw me delve into the realm of email marketing. This allowed me to offer my writing skills that I have developed over the last two years, not only to UWD but the companies paying UWD to carry out their desired marketing approach in order to optimise their chances of enticing more clients.
With that in mind, the pressure was on. I didn’t want to let anyone down or produce something not up to scratch! However, it seemed as though my work was of a decent enough standard, and it was sent out to the clients, which felt pretty good!
I am really looking forward to expanding my knowledge in the different areas of marketing and build more contacts for my future career prospects!
