Teenager stabbed in the back after a fight in St Osyth

Emergency services were called at early hours this morning February 17 following a teenager who has suffered a stab wound to the back after reports of a group of teenagers fighting at a party on Colchester Road, St Osyth.


The victim, aged 16 was rushed to hospital for treatment of his injuries, reports suggested they were not life threatening although Essex police have stated that "during that fight, a teenager suffered a serious puncture wound to his back".


"We attended the scene and the group left the area." Detective sergeant Phil Terry, of Clacton CID, said: "We believe that the group of people involved in the fight may have been at a party at a property near the area." Officers arrived at the scene of the incident after reports of a many arming himself with a baseball bat after he was assaulted by the group of teenagers.



A 58-year old man from St Osyth has been arrested today at around 5.50am, thought ot be suspicious of grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in custody pending questioning. Research has suggested that the incident was filmed by by-standers; Essex police strongly encourages anyone with information to get in touch.
